What is the Universal Calling Card?
The Universal Calling Card is a PIN (Personal Identification Number) that you receive upon ordering our international calling service. You can use this PIN to make calls from your PC by using a Softphone dialer or by calling an access number provided by Telcan. [top]

What is a PC2Phone dialer?
This is a downloadable software, usually a .exe file that gets installed in our PC. Once you download the software, you can register your PIN and start making calls. To make calls just enter your destination number in the box provided and click on Dial. In order to enhance the call quality, it is highly recommended that you either use a headset or a USB Phone. Please remember that you need Internet connection prior to making calls. [top]

What is a USB phone?
This is a phone set that get connected to the USB port on your PC. You need to install the PC2Phone dialer for the USB phone to function. [top]

What is VOIP (voice-over-ip) phone service?
This is an application that enables you to make quality phone calls through the Internet. To make this possible you need Internet connection and either a Softphone dialer, an Internet Phone adaptor or an IP phone. The Softphone dialer is free and you can download anytime. The adaptor and IP phone you can purchase at our online store. [top]

Is VOIP voice quality less than standard phone service?
Nowadays there has been extensive development and upgrade of the equipment that enables voip, so the quality is the same as standard voice. In fact, many standard calls have been traveling through voip networks without the end-users knowing it. [top]

What is the web callback?
This is a service that allows you to initiate Phone-to-Phone calls from the Internet. Just click on the web-call trigger, enter your PIN, number calling from, number calling to and press the CALL button. Our server instantly receives your call request and bridges you with your destination number. This is a great option when using internet cafes that do not allow download of the dialer. [top]


What is the SMS callback?
This is a service that allows you to initiate phone calls from your mobile phone. Just send a text message to our SMS access number with your PIN and Destination number in the following format: PIN#Destination. You will receive a callback with your destination number ringing. [top]


What is the Caller ID callback?
This is a service that allows you to initiate phone calls from your mobile or fixed line that passes the caller ID internationally. Just dial the caller ID callback access number and hang up. We “grab” your caller ID and call you right back. You will then hear a message to enter your PIN and destination number. Please note that this option will not work if your caller ID is not passed or if is not complete. [top]


How do I order the Universal PIN?

You can order online by clicking the ORDER button. You will be taken to a secure form where you enter your personal information, your prepaid airtime amount ($10, $20 or $50), your user ID and password for online management and your credit card information. [top]

When can I use the service?
Once you submit your order it takes less than 24 hours to verify your information and charge your credit card for the amount you specify. You will then receive an email with your PIN number and your client ID. You can then use the PIN to make international calls. [top]

How can I buy more minutes?
To buy extra time just log in to your account and select Services. Then click on Add Payment. [top]

How do I know how much am I being charged?
When you call your destination number the system will announce how many minutes you have for each call. At the same time, you can log in to your account online and check your call detail immediately after your call is made. [top]

Do I get an invoice?
Your monthly statement is posted the first week of every month. Your statement will show your usage, payments applied on your account and current balance. [top]

How can I cancel the service?
You can send us a special request or call our support number 1 888 6835226 or 1-647 - 258 - 5000 and request cancellation. You can also email us to support@Telcan.net and request to remove your personal information from our records.If you disable your auto-recharge option online, the system will not charge your credit card anymore.
